Connections helps us understand who we are and feel part of something larger than ourselves. Researchers find people with strong social connection have less stress-related health problems, lower risk of mental illness. Researchers have also found that people are happier when they are with other people than when they are alone and the boost is the same for introverts and extroverts. They also are finding that people are more pleasant, helpful, and sociable. So being around people make us feel happier, and when we are happier we are more fun to be around, creating an “upward spiral” of happiness.
Dale Carnegie the author of “How to win and influence people” once said “You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you”. There is no faster most effective way to fill the gap between where you are and where you aspire to be than having the right passionate and supportive people in your corner. Environment is everything and its 100% in our control. Jim Rohn said “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with”.
Connections are very vital to growth and not just about any connections but Right Connections. Imagine how things could have been much easier and possible if we changed our surroundings. We’ve heard stories of the changes people have made the businesses they’ve built, the amazing things they’ve experienced just as a result of connecting with the right people. Right connections overtime show us how to create that support team of everyday people who will not only inspire us, but more importantly, will refuse to let us fail.
